PARTICIPANTS
Le Concours Eurovision de la chanson 2015 sera la 60e édition du concours et aura lieu en Autriche, suite à la victoire de Conchita Wurst à l'Eurovision 2014 avec la chanson Rise like a Phoenix. Ce sera la deuxième fois que l'Autriche accueillera le Concours après l'édition 1967.
Les dates annoncées, sous réserve de modifications, sont le mardi 19, le jeudi 21 et le samedi 23 mai 2015.

Le cas de l'Ukraine - The case of Ukraine

L'Ukraine a confirmé sa participation en septembre 2014 puis s'est retirée.
En raison du conflit russo-ukrainien, le télédiffuseur NTU préfère actuellement se focaliser sur la priorité qu'il se fait de construire un télédiffuseur à l'Ukraine, opération très coûteuse. Le télédiffuseur a insisté sur l'importance que le Concours représente pour eux, mais qu'ils ne trouveraient malheureusement pas les fonds nécessaires pour financer leur participation ce qui implique leur retrait, annoncé officiellement le 19 septembre 2014. Cependant, NTU espère pouvoir diffuser les trois soirées du Concours et prévoit déjà que, s'il le peut, il reviendra pour 2016.
Cependant, quelques heures après l'annonce du retrait, une offre de financement d'une sélection et de la participation a été faite par Timofey Nagorny, un producteur de musique ukrainien. Il a même déclaré pouvoir garantir une place dans le Top 10 au pays55.
Connu pour avoir été le producteur de Mika Newton, qui avait représenté l'Ukraine au Concours 2011 et été arrivée en 4e position, Timofey Nagorny donne donc au pays une éventuelle possibilité de rester dans le Concours bien qu'il n'y ait strictement aucune certitude.

Duška Vučinić a annoncé sur RTS, au nom de la chaîne, être certaine de la participation de la Serbie dans les années à venir, et espère la remise en place d'une finale nationale pour sélectionner l'interprète et la chanson serbe.

Le superviseur de l'événement Sietse Bakker a twitté « Beaucoup de spéculations à propos d'un retour de la Turquie en 2015. L'an prochain pourrait être plein de surprises! ». Cette phrase pourrait, en plus d'un retour turc, indiquer des changements dans les règles du concours.
