Le Concours Eurovision de la chanson 2023 sera la 67e édition du Concours.
Après la victoire de Kalush Orchestra représentant l'Ukraine lors de l'édition précédente, le pays dispose de la priorité concernant l'accueil du concours. Cependant, dans le contexte de l'invasion de l'Ukraine par la Russie en 2022, l'UER décide finalement d’organiser le Concours au Royaume-Uni.
C'est la première fois depuis 1980 que le pays hôte n'est pas le pays vainqueur de l'année précédente.

After the victory of Kalush Orchestra representing Ukraine in the previous edition, the country has priority in hosting the competition.
However, against the backdrop of Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the EBU finally decided to hold the Competition in the UK.
It is the first time since 1980 that the host country is not the winning country of the previous year.
