Eurovision 2017 - My impressions

Eurovision 2017
My impressions

The eurovision 2017 ended with the victory of Portugal.
Salvador Sobral with "Amar pelos do", song a bit old-fashioned and his fabulous interpretation to widely won this 62nd contest, giving Portugal his first victory in Eurovision.

I come back to this week in the Ukrainian capital.

First of all, congratulations to Ukraine for organizing this competition and above all the ubiquitous security throughout the city.
The welcome from the Ukrainians was really friendly and warm.

As for the final, here are my impressions:

We had been told that with the budget being limited, there would be little pyrotechnic effect on stage, and that was not the case.
Ukraine has given us, with its resources, a superb show, worthy of the big Eurovision.

Germany: David Guetta's plagiarism has been fateful for Germany this year with a penultimate position, Hard!

Austria: The man in the moon did not win the votes of the public with 0 point.

Armenia: At first, I did not like this song, but after several listenings and the performance of Artvisk I changed my mind.

Australia: Nice performance, but Australia presented us with a better song during its two previous appearances.

Azerbaijan: It was necessary to dare, Azerbaijan did it, with "skeleton" as a title, a man with a horse head, a horror film set, an anorexic singer, the country scored points.

Belgium: How could she finish so high in the rankings with so few votes ??

Belarus: Congratulations to Belarusian singing in its language for the first time, and success has been there.

Bulgaria: But what happened? As Russia is absent this year, all votes have gone back to Bulgaria? I do not understand this score. I do not like.

Cyprus: Nice choreography, Cyprus has been strong this year.

Croatia: I did not hang, to make a duet, you have to be two! When is a choir all alone?

Denmark: Good and nice girl.

Spain: Good last year, Manel did not make any waves on the stage of Kiev, despite his holding of pseudo surfer and its scenography very colorful. Yet the words were easy to remember, he had to repeat the same phrase at least thirty-two times in three minutes.

France: 12th place for France this year, 2 times worse than last year, but given the poor results of previous years, let's be happy!

Greece: Nice but seen and reviewed!

Hungary: A super original song sung in Romanian, it seems to me. It was a risk but it worked.

Israel: for its supposedly last participation in the Eurovision, which seems to me totally impossible, Imri gave us a nice performance.

Italy: For my part, disappointing performance of Italy, the favorite has done too much, his interpretation at the Festival of San Remo was 100 times better.

Moldova: A song "Eurovision" and the public was under the charm of this "Hey mamma", me too.

Norway: What a flow of words per minute!

Netherlands: Nice performance for the three Dutch graces.

Poland: pretty voice but nothing transcendent.

Portugal: The winner this year, almost without surprise. This song and its interpretation are so staggering.

Romania: a "Yodel-it" which won many votes.

United Kingdom: A song composed by Emilie de Forrest that did not allow a victory, yet the scenography and the performance, although a little garish was nice.

Sweden: Well, well, it's Sweden, they're desperately waiting for their 7th victory in order to have the top of the standings and go past Ireland. It's still not for this year.

Ukraine: A song "rock" with a beautiful musical performance, I liked it, it changes a little of all these songs mièvres.

In summary, this year, countries that decided not to sing in English are at the top of the ranking (except Spain due to a casting error), hopefully this gives the idea to the other countries for the " Next year and return to a more traditional Eurovision.
Y-fed up listening to a succession of English songs that finally all look alike.

See you next year in Lisbon for new adventures.

Eurovision 2017 - Winner - Portugal

Eurovision 2017
Winner
Portugal

To "Celebrate Diversity" one could not do better than to give the victory to Portugal.
With a totally shifted song and a totally perched performer, Portugal wins its first victory in the history of the Eurovision Contest.
Bulgaria finished second with a song that will not remain in the annals of Eurovision.
I wonder how a song so insignificant can have so many points on the part of the jury, but especially on the part of the public.
There were still other songs that left more impact.
Those are the mysteries of Eurovision.
Finally, having said that, Congratulations to Portugal and next year's meeting in Lisbon.

For anyone who has booked in Rome, Milan or Turin, you can cancel!
