Après avoir gagné l'émission Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins, ils représenteront l'Islande au Concours Eurovision de la chanson 2014 avec la chanson « Enga fordoma »

Le groupe est appelé Pollapönk , un groupe bien connu des enfants en Islande .
Le nom Pollapönk se traduit directement par Little Boy Punk .
La chanson s'appelle " Enga Fordóma » qui se traduit directement par «Non Prejudice
La chanson traite de l’égalité et de l’équité entre humains.
La plupart des gars dans Pollapönk sont des enseignants de maternelle préscolaire .

John Grant , une chanteuse américaine Se chargera de traduire la partie anglaise de la chanson .
John est aussi connu pour la traduction de l' album ' Dýrð de Dauðaþögn ' par Ásgeir Trausti . Un musicien très célèbre en Islande .
C'est la deuxième fois que les membres de Pollapönk tentent leur chance pour l’Eurovision.
Le but de Pollapönk est de se débarrasser de l'intimidation et ils sont très passionnés sur le sujet .

Some Fun Facts About Iceland’s Contribution To Eurovision 2014:
The group is called Pollapönk, a well known childrens band in Iceland.
The name Pollapönk directly translates to Little Boy Punk.
The song is called ‘Enga Fordóma' which directly translates to 'No Prejudice'
The song is about how everyone is equal and should be treated equally.
Most of the guys in Pollapönk are Pre-School or Kindergarten teachers.
It has an awesome robot bit in the middle.
The guy in red was offered to play drums for Coldplay back when they were starting but he declined saying their music ‘Just wasn’t his style’
One of the backup singers is also a member of a Viking Metal band called ‘Skálmöld’
Iceland’s third president of parliament is a backup singer as well.
Pollapönk is known mostly for their stage costumes, which are always the same. Colored jogging suits.
In Copenhagen, Pollapönk will be performing the song in both Icelandic and English.
John Grant, an American singer-songwriter will be helping them translate the English part of the song.

This is the second time the members of Pollapönk try for Eurovision.
Pollapönk’s goal is to get rid of bullying and they are very passionate on the matter.
