Le Concours Eurovision de la chanson 2014 est la 59e édition annuelle du concours Eurovision de la chanson. Il a lieu à la B&W Hallerne, à Copenhague, au Danemark, à la suite de la victoire d'Emmelie de Forest à l'Eurovision 2013 avec la chanson Only Teardrops. C'est la troisième fois que le pays accueille le concours, après les éditions de 1964 et de 2001.

Les dates fixées pour les deux demi-finales sont le 6 mai et 8 mai 2014, avec la finale prévue pour la soirée du 10 mai 2014. La date du concours a été avancée d'une semaine pour la convenance des villes candidates (Copenhague, Herning et Horsens).

Le télé-diffuseur hôte du concours est la télévision nationale danoise Danmarks Radio (DR), qui a choisi Pernille Gaardbo comme productrice exécutive du concours 2014.

La devise de l'événement est « Join Us » (« Rejoins-nous » en français).

Cette édition est remportée par Conchita Wurst, un homme travesti en femme à barbe (de son vrai nom Thomas Neuwirth), qui représentait l'Autriche avec sa chanson Rise like a Phoenix qui obtient 290 points. Les Pays-Bas et la Suède complètent le podium avec respectivement 238 et 218 points, suivis par l'Arménie et la Hongrie. Le Danemark, pays hôte, atteint la 9e position avec 74 points. L'Espagne est le seul membre du Big Five à atteindre le Top 10, en terminant 10e avec 74 points également. Les autres membres du Big Five terminent en fin de classement : le Royaume-Uni arrive 17e, l'Allemagne 18e, l'Italie 21e et la France termine 26e et dernière du classement, pour la première fois de son histoire, avec 2 points.

La liste officielle des pays participants à l'édition 2014 a été publiée le 9 janvier 2014. Elle indiquait la participation officielle de trente-six pays. Deux pays font leur retour. Il s'agit du Portugal et de la Pologne qui avaient manqué le concours 2013 (et le concours 2012 pour la Pologne). La Slovénie, qui avait obtenu un délai supplémentaire, a confirmé sa participation le 17 janvier 2014, augmentant le nombre de pays participants à trente-sept14.

Le nombre de participants est ainsi le plus bas atteint depuis que deux demi-finales sont produites15. Les pays ont été répartis dans les deux demi-finales le lundi 20 janvier 2014. Les pays du Big Five ainsi que le Danemark ont aussi été répartis pour savoir quelle demi-finale ils seront dans l'obligation de diffuser, et pendant laquelle ils voteront16.

Les pays étaient répartis par tirage au sort en fonction des lots suivants (à l'exception d'Israël, de la Norvège et de la Suède, qui avaient déjà été répartis) pour permettre une meilleure répartition des pays européens dans chaque demi-finale.

Comme en 2013, le vainqueur fut annoncé dès lors qu'il était mathématiquement impossible qu'un autre pays prenne la tête du classement. Dans ce cas précis, ce fut le 34e vote, le vote ukrainien qui marqua la fin du suspense.

L'Autriche remporta cette édition. Ce fut la deuxième victoire autrichienne à l'Eurovision, la dernière étant en 1966. Les Pays-Bas, quant à eux, réalisèrent leur meilleur score depuis leur victoire de 1975.

La France arriva dernière pour la première fois avec 2 points.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2014 is the 59th annual edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. It takes place at the B & W Hallerne in Copenhagen, Denmark, as a result of the victory of Emmelie Forest at Eurovision 2013 with the song Only Teardrops. This is the third time the country hosts the competition, after the editions of 1964 and 2001.

The dates set for the two semi-finals on May 6 and May 8, 2014, with the final scheduled for the evening of 10 May 2014. The date of the contest was extended one week to the suitability of the candidate cities (Copenhagen, Herning and Horsens).

The TV host broadcaster of the competition is the Danish national television Danmarks Radio (DR), which chose Pernille Gaardbo as executive producer of the 2014 contest.

The motto of the event is "Join Us".
This edition was won by Conchita Wurst, a man dressed as a bearded lady (whose real name is Thomas Neuwirth), representing Austria with his song Rise like a Phoenix 
that gets 290 points. The Netherlands and Sweden completed the podium with 238 and 218 points, respectively, followed by Armenia and Hungary. Denmark, the host country, reaches the 9th position with 74 points. Spain is the only member of the Big Five to reach the Top 10, finishing 10th with 74 points also. Other members of the Big Five complete end of the ranking: the UK comes 17th, the 18th Germany, Italy and France ended 21st 26th and final ranking for the first time in its history, with 2 points.


The official list of participating countries in the 2014 edition was published on 9 January 2014. It stated the official participation of thirty-six countries. Two countries are back. This is Portugal and Poland who had missed the contest in 2013 (and the 2012 competition in Poland). Slovenia, which obtained an extension, has confirmed his participation Jan. 17, 2014, increasing the number of participating countries to thirty- sept14.

The number of participants is thus the lowest since reached two semi-finals are produites15. The countries were divided into two semi-finals Monday, January 20, 2014. The countries of the Big Five and Denmark were also divided as to which semi-final they will be obliged to broadcast, during which they voteront16 .

The countries were divided by lot according to the following lots (with the exception of Israel, Norway and Sweden, which had already been distributed) to allow a better distribution of European countries in each semifinal.

As in 2013, the winner was announced when it was mathematically impossible for another country to take the lead. In this case, it was the 34th vote, the Ukrainian vote marked the end of the suspense.

Austria won this edition. This was the second Austrian victory at Eurovision, the last being in 1966. The Netherlands, meanwhile, realized their best score since their victory in 1975.

France reached the final for the first time with 2 points.

Le Concours Eurovision de la chanson 2015 est la 60e édition du concours et a lieu à Vienne, en Autriche, le concours de l'Eurovision 2014 ayant vu la victoire de Conchita Wurst avec la chanson Rise Like a Phoenix. C'est la deuxième fois que l'Autriche accueille le concours après l'édition 1967.

C'est la sixième victoire de la Suède, qui devient donc le deuxième pays en termes de victoires, derrière l'Irlande et ses sept titres. Måns Zelmerlöw a obtenu 365 points et devient donc le troisième vainqueur à dépasser la barre des 300 points après Alexander Rybak en 2009 et Loreen en 2012. Il est également le premier artiste masculin solo à remporter le concours depuis 2009.

Hormis l'Italie, aucun pays du Big 5 n'atteint le Top 10. L'Espagne est 21e, le Royaume-Uni 24e, la France 25e et l'Allemagne dernière avec « nul point ». L'Autriche, pays hôte, termine également avec « nul point », une première dans l'histoire. C'est également la première fois depuis 1997 que deux pays ont « nul point » en finale.
C'est aussi la première depuis 1958 que le pays hôte (et vainqueur de l'année précédente) termine dernier.

La liste officielle des participants a été dévoilée le 23 décembre 201411,12. Elle indique la participation de trente-neuf pays pour cette 60e édition. Parmi eux, trois pays font leur retour en 2015 : la Serbie et Chypre reviennent après avoir tous deux manqué l'édition 2014. La République tchèque revient, quant à elle, après une absence de cinq années, ayant participé pour la dernière fois en 2009.

L'année 2015 marque également le retrait de l'Ukraine pour des raisons politiques et financières. C'est la première fois depuis les débuts du pays en 2003 que l'Ukraine ne participera pas au Concours

L'Australie diffuse le Concours Eurovision de la chanson depuis plus de trente ans et s'est impliquée de façon importante lors du concours 2014 avec un entracte créé pour la deuxième demi-finale. Pour ces raisons et afin de célébrer la 60e édition de ce concours avec un événement nouveau, le pays, invité à concourir en 2015, a accepté de participer. Il est le 40e pays participant.

Le pays est automatiquement qualifié en finale, afin de ne pas compromettre les chances de qualification des pays européens, et en raison du fait que ce soit la seule participation autorisée du pays, portant le nombre de finalistes à 27.

Comme tout pays participant, l'Australie a le droit de vote et peut recevoir des points. Cependant, le pays peut voter durant les deux demi-finales, contrairement aux pays d'Europe, qui ne peuvent voter que lors d'une seule.

En cas de victoire australienne, le Concours Eurovision de la chanson 2016 aura lieu dans une ville européenne mais le diffuseur SBS sera co-hôte et recevra, exceptionnellement, l'autorisation d'envoyer un autre représentant

Comme les deux années précédentes, le vainqueur est annoncé dès lors qu'il est mathématiquement impossible de le battre. Ici, le vote chypriote (prévu initialement comme le 39e vote, mais qui fut le 35e dans les faits en raison des problèmes techniques susmentionnés) marque la victoire suédoise.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2015 is the 60th edition of the competition takes place in Vienna, Austria, the Eurovision Song Contest in 2014 saw the victory of Conchita Wurst with the song Rise Like a Phoenix. This is the second time that Austria is hosting the contest after the 1967 edition.

This is the sixth victory of Sweden, which becomes the second country in terms of victories, behind Ireland and his seven titles. Måns Zelmerlöw got 365 points, and becomes the third winner to surpass the 300-point mark after Alexander Rybak Loreen in 2009 and in 2012. It is also the first male solo artist to win the contest since 2009.

Russia finished second with 303 points, it is the first country to receive more than 300 points and be second.

Apart from Italy, no country in the Big 5 does not reach the Top 10. Spain is 21st, 24th UK, France and Germany last 25th with "no point". Austria, the host country, also ends with "no point", a first in history. It is also the first time since 1997 that both countries have "no point" in the final.
This is also the first since 1958 that the host country (and winner of the previous year) finished last.

The official list of participants was unveiled on 23 December 201,411.12. It indicates the participation of thirty-nine countries for this 60th edition. Among them, three countries are back in 2015: Serbia and Cyprus come back after both missed the edition 2014. The Czech Republic comes back, meanwhile, after an absence of five years, who participated for the last time in 2009 .

The year 2015 also marks the withdrawal of Ukraine for political and financial reasons. This is the first time since the beginning of the country in 2003 that Ukraine will not participate in the Contest

Australia broadcasts the Eurovision Song Contest for over thirty years and has been involved significantly in the competition in 2014 with an intermission created for the second semifinal. For these reasons and in order to celebrate the 60th edition of the competition with a new event, the countries invited to compete in 2015, has agreed to participate. It is the 40th participating country.

The country is automatically qualified to the final, so as not to jeopardize the chances of qualification of European countries, and due to the fact that it is the only authorized participation of the country, bringing the number of finalists to 27.

Like all participating countries, Australia has the right to vote and may receive points. However, the country may vote in the two semifinals, in contrast to European countries, which can only vote in one.

If Australia win the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 will be held in a European city but the broadcaster SBS will co-host and receive exceptionally permission to send another representative

Like the two previous years, the winner is announced when it is mathematically impossible to beat him. Here, the Cypriot vote (originally planned as the 39th vote, but was 35th in practice due to the above technical problems) marks the Swedish victory.
