Voici donc le représentant autrichien pour l’Eurovision 2014...Il s’agit de Conchita Wurst.
Il participe en 2006 à la troisième saison de l'émission autrichienne Starmania. Il arrive en finale et termine deuxième, derrière Nadine Beiler. 
En 2011, il participe en tant que Conchita Wurst à l'émission de Die große Chance. 

Il est arrivé second à la finale nationale pour représenter l'Autriche à l'Eurovision 2012.
Malgré ça, deux ans plus tard, il est choisi en sélection interne pour représenter l'Autriche au Concours Eurovision 2014.
