Le Portugal a annoncé en mai 2017, qu'il organiserait et donc participerait au prochain Concours Eurovision qui aura lieu à Lisbonne en mai 2018.
Son représentant sera choisi lors de l'émission télévisée "Festival da Canção 2018".
