Le concours Eurovision de la chanson 1967 fut la douzième édition du concours. Il se déroula le samedi 8 avril 1967, à Vienne, en Autriche. Il fut remporté par le Royaume-Uni, avec la chanson Puppet on a String, interprétée par Sandie Shaw. L'Irlande termina deuxième et la France, troisième.

L'Autriche, qui avait remporté l'édition 1966, se chargea de l'organisation de l'édition 1967.

Dix-sept pays participèrent au douzième concours.
Le Danemark se retira et ne revint qu'en 1978. Les responsables de la télévision danoise estimèrent que leur budget pouvait être investi dans des programmes plus en phase avec les réalités musicales de l'époque.

Dix-sept chansons concoururent pour la victoire.
La chanson luxembourgeoise, interprétée par une Vicky Leandros à ses débuts, sera la chanson qui connaîtra le plus de reprises ultérieures. La plus célèbre sera la version instrumentale de l’orchestre de Paul Mauriat, qui sera classée numéro un aux Etats-Unis.

Le représentant portugais, Eduardo Nascimento, fut le tout premier artiste d'origine angolaise et le tout premier artiste masculin noir à participer au concours.
La représentante britannique, Sandie Shaw, fut la première artiste de l'histoire du concours à chanter nu-pieds sur scène.
La chanson monégasque avait été composée par Serge Gainsbourg. Il s’agit de sa deuxième contribution au concours, après Poupée de cire, poupée de son, qui avait remporté le grand prix en 1965. Le chef d'orchestre monégasque, Aimé Barelli, n'était autre que le père de l'interprète, Minouche Barelli.

Le Royaume-Uni remporta le concours pour la première fois. Seules l'Espagne et la Yougoslavie ne lui attribuèrent aucun vote.
Sandie Shaw reçut la médaille du grand prix, des mains d'Udo Jürgens. Erika Vaal conclut la retransmission en remerciant tous les artistes et en disant : « La musique ne connaît pas de frontières ! »
Sandie Shaw exprima à de nombreuses reprises son aversion à propos de sa chanson. Pourtant celle-ci rencontra un immense succès, partout en Europe et demeure l'un des plus grands triomphes commerciaux de l'histoire du concours.
Un seul pays ne reçut aucun vote et termina dernier avec "nul point". Il s'agit de la Suisse. Ce fut la deuxième fois pour ce pays.

The Eurovision Song Contest 1967 was the twelfth edition of the competition . It took place Saturday, April 8, 1967 in Vienna , Austria. It was won by the United Kingdom with the song Puppet on a String , performed by Sandie Shaw. Ireland finished second and France third.

Austria , who won the 1966 edition , undertook the organization of the 1967 edition .

Seventeen countries participated in the twelfth competition .
Denmark withdrew and did not return until 1978 . Those responsible for the Danish television in the crowd felt the budget could be invested in programs more in tune with the musical realities of the time.

Seventeen songs competed for the win.
Luxembourg song, sung by Vicky Leandros in its infancy, will know the song that most subsequent occasions. The most famous is the instrumental version of Paul Mauriat Orchestra , who will be ranked number one in the United States.

The Portuguese representative , Eduardo Nascimento , was the first artist of Angolan origin and the first black male artist to enter the contest.
The British representative , Sandie Shaw , was the first artist in the history of the competition to sing barefoot on stage.
Monegasque song was composed by Serge Gainsbourg. This is the second competition entry after Wax doll , stuffed doll , who won the grand prize in 1965. The conductor Monaco , Aimé Barelli , was none other than the father of the artist, Minouche Barelli .

The United Kingdom won the competition for the first time . Only Spain and Yugoslavia attributed her no vote.
Sandie Shaw was awarded the medal of the Grand Prize from the hands of Udo Jürgens . Erika Vaal retransmission concludes by thanking all the artists and saying : "Music knows no borders! "
Sandie Shaw repeatedly expressed his dislike about the song . But it met with great success throughout Europe and remains one of the greatest triumphs of the commercial history of the contest .
One country received no votes and finished last with " null point ." This is Switzerland. This was the second time for this country.
