Le Luxembourg à l’Eurovision

Le Luxembourg a participé 37 fois au Concours Eurovision de la chanson.
Depuis 1994, le Luxembourg ne souhaite plus y participer pour des raisons financières, les dirigeants de la télévision nationale RTL trouvant la cotisation de participation excessivement élevée pour un si petit pays.

Le Luxembourg a gagné 5 fois l’Eurovision

1961: Jean-Claude Pascal « Nous les Amoureux »
1965: France Gall « Poupée de cire, poupée de son »
1972: Vicky Léandros « Après toi »
1973: Anne-Marie David « Tu te reconnaîtras »
1983: Corinne Hermés « Si la vie est cadeau »

Le Luxembourg se traîne aussi quelques casseroles au niveau du classement.
0 point en 1970 avec David-Alexandre Winter (Le pére de notre Ophélie Winter nationale, qui a totalement disparue d’ailleurs…)
1 points en 1958 et 1960
4 points en pour Plastic Bertrand et sa chanson « Amour Amour ».
7 points pour Michèle Torr en 1966.

1972

Pour ses 2 dernières participations, en 1992 et 1993, le Luxembourg à terminé respectivement à la 21éme et 20éme place.
Il était peut-être temps qu’il s’arrêtent pour recharger leur batterie et revenir en force..
Malgré une rumeur sur un possible retour en 2010 et le fait que le Luxembourg soit membre de l’UER aucun retour prévu du Luxembourg à l’Eurovision pour le moment.

Luxembourg has participated 37 times in the Eurovision Song Contest. Since 1994, the Luxembourg no longer wishes to participate for financial reasons, the leaders of the national television RTL finding the participation fee excessively high for such a small country.

For his last two entries in 1992 and 1993, respectively, over Luxembourg in the 21st and 20th place. It was perhaps time it stops to recharge their batteries and come back strong ..
